Its Lamborghini aerodynamics represent the most futuristic ever designed: the ALA 2.0 system and aero-vectoring ensure the minimum drag on straightaways and the optimal aerodynamic load when cornering. The 770 hp naturally aspirated V12 engine inspires awe.
The SVJ Roadster uses ultra-light carbon fiber for its bodywork and rigid removable roof. The body features larger air intakes and more extended side skirts, accentuated aerodynamic profiles and a lighter exhaust system mounted higher up.
The rigid roof is made using an innovative, high-pressure RTM molding technology.
The SVJ 63 Roadster, produced in a limited edition of only 63 examples, features an even more dynamic and exclusive appearance.
The technological look of carbon fiber, featured in the monocoque as well as the doors, seats, center tunnel and console, coexists with a design of clear aeronautical inspiration, while the leather and Alcantara upholstery adds a bold touch of exclusivity to the luxurious interior.
But it is the refined details of the cross-stitching and special SVJ Roadster plaque that confer a truly unique character to this remarkable automobile.
ALA—AERODINAMICA LAMBORGHINI ATTIVA 2.0
Patented by Lamborghini, the ALA system is optimized for the Aventador SVJ Roadster and is now known as ALA 2.0, which includes new air intake and aero-channel designs. The system has been recalibrated, taking into account the enhanced lateral acceleration of the vehicle. The ALA system actively varies the aerodynamic load to achieve high downforce or low drag, depending on the dynamic conditions. Electronically actuated motors open or close active flaps in the front splitter and on the engine hood, optimally directing airflow in the front and rear sections.
The Aventador SVJ Roadster offers a unique combination of the active-steering system (Lamborghini Dynamic Steering) and the rear-steering system (Lamborghini Rear-wheel Steering), delivering maximum dynamic performance. The LDS system adapts to the speed and the selected driving mode, moving between direct steering and a more indirect mode, while the LRS system manages the rear-steering axle through two electromechanical actuators. This system improves agility at low speeds, while providing optimum vehicle control and greater stability at highway speeds.
The Aventador SVJ Roadster features magneto-rheological front and rear shock absorbers with pushrod systems, which constantly modify the suspension behavior according to the road conditions and the selected driving mode. In addition to compensating for roll and undesired movements of the vehicle body, the system is specifically designed to work in concert with the rear-wheel steering system, thus ensuring ideal response under all conditions and allowing the ALA to maximize efficiency and downforce, maintaining a constant aerodynamic flow between the vehicle underbody and the ground.
The 4-wheel-drive system on the Aventador SVJ Roadster is optimized to work specifically with the new active systems, in particular rear-wheel steering. This system is able to maximize performance and driving pleasure in situations with poor grip. Here, torque distribution between the front and rear axles is varied dynamically in real time depending on the selected driving mode and the driving conditions. Additionally, the Aventador SVJ Roadster makes use of a brand-new Pirelli P Zero Corsa tire design, specifically developed to further enhance the vehicle’s active driver-assistance systems.
No matter what driving conditions you find yourself in, the new Aventador SVJ Roadster gives you full control thanks to the dynamic mode selector, which lets you optimize engine, transmission, drive, steering, suspensions, and stability control settings by choosing between STRADA, SPORT, CORSA and EGO MODE. This last option allows full customization of every individual setting, for the most personal driving experience ever achieved. By uncoupling the longitudinal, lateral and vertical dynamics, EGO mode makes it possible to obtain the vehicle's top performance at all times and in any condition.
The indomitable V12 engine of Aventador SVJ Roadster stands out for its exceptional design and the advanced technology of its materials. Boasting 770 CV at 8,500 RPMs, and capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in 2.98 seconds, Aventador SVJ Roadster provides thrills unlike anything that has ever been experienced before.
The ISR (Independent Shifting Rods) transmission ensures amazingly fast and exciting gear shifts. The design goal was simple: to create an extremely fast robotized transmission, capable of generating unique driving thrills. The ISR gearbox also offers two crucial advantages for the realization of a super sports car: extremely low weight and a size even smaller than a manual gearbox.
The use of carbon fiber and its derivatives is among the characteristics that give the Aventador SVJ Roadster, entirely manufactured at Lamborghini's plant in Sant'Agata Bolognese, its phenomenal driving precision.
