Automobili Lamborghini turns to the arts to celebrate the important milestone of its 60th anniversary. The relationship between the automotive giant and the art world isn’t new, and it’s a bond that stays strong to this day. This time, Lamborghini has created a platform for cross-sectional art projects in which different markets collaborate with internationally renowned artists to explore the brand’s core values.
The first project comes from a collaboration between Lamborghini and Japanese futuristic artist IKEUCHI, famous for his cyberpunk and robotics inspirations to create works that combine ready-made plastic models with industrial parts. In “Chasing the Future,” IKEUCHI incorporated original parts from iconic Lamborghini anniversary models from the past to celebrate the brand’s heritage and innovative spirit.
The two resulting artworks, Time Gazer and Lamborghini Huracán STO Time Chaser_111100, explore the concepts of time and timelessness through Lamborghini’s ever-evolving technology and IKEUCHI’s cybernetics influence. A one-of-a-kind collaboration, worthy of setting off a series of exceptional projects worldwide.
“We are very proud to present this piece of art together with IKEUCHI in this memorable 60th anniversary year,” said Stephan Winkelmann, Automobili Lamborghini Chairman and CEO. “Lamborghini Huracán STO Time Chaser_111100 truly blends tradition and innovation, the past and the future, while perfectly embodying Lamborghini’s values. On this milestone of our 60th year, Lamborghini promises to continue to grow as a bold and unconventional brand, never ceasing to challenge itself.”
The official unveiling of “Chasing the Future” will take place in Tokyo.
