Lamborghini Revuelto debuts at Auto Show Shanghai 2023
The Shanghai Auto Show played host to the Asia Pacific debut of Automobili Lamborghini’s Revuelto, the first V12 hybrid HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) super sports car, taking another significant step forward in the company’s commitment to sustainability and technological innovation.
The new car, named Revuelto, is the embodiment of the brand’s tradition, with a new benchmark in performance, on-board technology, and driving experience. The powertrain expresses its full potential by delivering 1015 CV, combining the power of a 12-cylinder internal combustion engine with three electric motors, and a futuristic design with a perfect power-to-weight ratio made possible by the use of carbon fiber. Alongside this ground-breaking release, Lamborghini also unveiled the rear-wheel-drive V10 Huracán Tecnica, the super SUV Urus Performante and the Urus S in the Ad Personam hall. These extraordinary line-ups, with their signature Italian design and top-of-the-line performance, created a real buzz of anticipation among the attendees.
Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, commented: “We are truly proud to present our latest achievements at such an important automotive event. Commenting on the significant results of the Chinese market, the second largest single market for Lamborghini, Stephan Winkelmann added: “The Chinese market has shown strong growth over the years and will continue to play a strategic role in our future development. It’s a key market for us, and we’ll continue to grow our presence here by expanding the dealer network and offering a variety of exclusive experiences. The APAC debut of the Revuelto at Auto Shanghai demonstrates the importance we give to this market and shows our strong commitment to our Chinese customers.”
A spectacular presentation of the Huracán Tecnica and the Urus Performante
Along with the brand new Revuelto, Lamborghini showcased a stunning line-up of cars, leaving visitors in awe of the unmatched style and performance that only the House of Sant’Agata can bring. Huracán Tecnica, the latest member of the Huracán range, provides the purest Lamborghini driving experience, combining lifestyle and performance on both road and track. The front and rear architecture is designed with sharper lines to improve aerodynamics, and the naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 engine capable of producing 640 CV and 565 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm brings stability and agility to driving in any kind of scenario.
Another supercar in the spotlight at the show was the Urus Performante, the sporty evolution of the first-ever super SUV in Lamborghini history. With its distinctive sporty design, revolutionary use of lightweight carbon fiber components, and enhanced aerodynamics, the Urus Performante takes driving fun and SUV performance to a whole new level.
