The Barcelona-Catalunya circuit is a car and motorcycle racetrack located in Montmeló, 12.5 miles (20 km) to the north-east of Barcelona in Catalunya, Spain. Until 2013, the track was known simply as the Circuit de Catalunya, before an agreement with Barcelona City Council. It is also colloquially known as the Montmeló Circuit because of the municipality it is located in. Given the track’s features and the mild climate, it is one of the most used circuits for racing team testing in winter and throughout the year. The track is also known for hosting a stage of the MotoGP.
