The Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola is situated just a few kilometers from Bologna, along the Santerno river. Following its grand opening in 1953, it swiftly became an international point of reference for the world of auto racing. It is considered one of the most challenging circuits for both drivers and vehicles, which have to negotiate the steep ups and downs of a course running over the hills of Romagna. One distinctive feature of the racing track is its counterclockwise direction of travel, which has remained unaltered over time, despite the circuit having undergone a number of modifications to its original layout.
