The SC63 LMDh challenger underwent important developmental trials over the past week, passing three days of tests at the Circuito de Almería in Spain with flying colors.

Lamborghini Squadra Corse and Iron Lynx performed reliability and procedural tests, concentrating on long runs rather than outright performance. As they did, they learned more and more about the prototype of a one-of-a-kind vehicle that will make its competitive debut at the 2024 FIA World Endurance Championship in Qatar.
Factory drivers Andrea Caldarelli and Romain Grosjean shared the SC63 during the testing period in Spain.

“It was a very intense three days, but I am very happy to have been able to work with the team and the car on the track for the first time,” said Grosjean, who sat behind the wheel of the SC63 for the first time. “The car proved to be very good from the first laps, and I can’t wait to put even more kilometers on it during the next tests.”

The “next tests” will take place in Europe over the next week, then the Iron Lynx test team will take the car to the United States for a series of tests on North American circuits and to continue the homologation process by IMSA.
