Lamborghini invites you to feel the thrill of its SC20, a one-off open-top track super sports car that unites extreme design with racing aerodynamics and performance. Using its vast Squadra Corse experience, Lamborghini Centro Stile has created a model that fulfils all its driver’s wishes by combining the brand’s most powerful, naturally aspirated 6,498 cm3 V12 engine with lightweight carbon fiber bodywork, distinctive features, like the bold front splitter and rear wing and exclusive track-oriented livery. The result is a bespoke open-top that offers it owner comfortable motorsports driving with road-approval too.
The sleek exterior of the SC20 is meticulously designed to optimize air flow. Sculpted with racing contours and side paneling inspired by the Essenza SCV12, the lightweight carbon fiber bodywork is hand-polished to guarantee optimal open-air driving. To further refine its aerodynamics, the SC20 also flaunts a prominent front splitter framed by two fins, air intakes on the front hood and a distinctive carbon fiber rear wing that can be set in three different positions: Low, Medium and High Load.
In true Squadra Corse style, the exterior of the SC20 flaunts Blu Cepheus (blue) livery on a Bianco Fu (white) base color. This bold racing statement also adorns the interior where it alternates with a combination of Nero Cosmus (black) and Bianco Leda (white) to enhance numerous carbon fiber features, like the dashboard cover, rear wall, door panels, center console, steering wheel trim and monocoque. Carbon fiber has also been used for the seat shells that are upholstered in stylish Alcantara and leather. And the car’s exclusive motorsports style is completed by solid aluminum door handles.
To guarantee superior track performance, the SC20 is fitted with the most powerful engine produced by Lamborghini, a naturally aspirated 6,498 cm3 V12 that produces 770 CV at 8,500 rpm and 720 Nm torque at 6,750 rpm. This power is supplied through an optimized seven-speed ISR (Independent Shifting Rod) transmission to a four-wheel drive system with a central electronic differential. The wheels are fitted with Pirelli PZero Corsa tires mounted on single-nut aluminum rims that measure 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear.
“Two years after the SC18 Alston, the SC20 was a new, intriguing challenge. The chief sources of inspiration were the Diablo VT Roadster, Aventador J, Veneno Roadster and Concept S, and the result is a dramatic combination of creativity and racing attitude,” commented Mitja Borkert, Head of Design Lamborghini Centro Stile. Maurizio Reggiani, Chief Technical Officer, added, “The SC20 is a combination of sophisticated engineering, Italian craftsmanship, sportiness and advanced design. It is also an example of applying our V12 engine and carbon fiber to a radical open-top vehicle that unmistakably carries the Lamborghini DNA.”
